Keeping your children safe online
As adults, speaking to your child about what they do and what they see online can often be more difficult than first imagined. As much as we know it exists, starting the conversation with children about inappropriate content or things that might make them feel uncomfortable can often feel like the hardest step. With children spending more time online due to lockdown, we’ve produced this guide to help parents and carers approach that initial discussion with a little more confidence.
How do we monitor online activity?
We have a responsiliblty to keep children safe both in school and online ad to do this we have a system called Smoothwall.
What is Smoothwall - how does it work?
Smoothwall detects, reviews, assesses and escalates safeguarding risks.
It does this by raising an alert when a TEFET school account is used inappropriately.
The incident is analysed by Smoothwall’s safeguarding specialists and then links into the schools safeguarding process, if appropriate.
